Fun the Road ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Fun the Road mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Fun the Road is designed to collect as little data as possible.

Data stored only on your device

All gameplay data — your spotted items, XP, mission progress, token balance, unlocked collections, daily challenges, and language preference — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers and is not accessible to us.

Your optional player name and continent setting (used to personalise the game experience) are also stored only on your device.

Data we do receive from you

a) Device identifier for promo code redemption

When you choose to redeem a promo code in the app, a randomly generated device identifier is sent to our server together with the promo code. This identifier is a random string created and stored locally on your device (format: ftr_[timestamp]_[random]). It is used solely to prevent the same promo code from being redeemed more than once on the same device, and is not linked to any personal identity, account, or real-world information.

b) Community suggestions (optional)

The app includes an optional feature that lets you suggest a missing car model, brand, or animal. If you use this feature, the suggestion text and the optional name you provide in the "submitted by" field are sent to and stored on our server. Providing a name is entirely optional.

2. How We Use Information

Information we receive is used only to:

• Prevent duplicate promo code redemptions (device identifier)
• Review and process community content suggestions (suggestion text and optional name)

We do not use any information for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information. We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use any third-party services that collect data on our behalf.

5. Data Retention

• Device identifiers stored for promo code validation are retained as long as needed to prevent abuse of promo codes.
• Community suggestions are retained until reviewed and processed by our team.
• All other app data resides on your device and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app.

6. Children's Privacy

Fun the Road is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
